Maybelline Great Lash Singapore

Rungholt shows up! Rungholttage on North beach.

An exhibition surrealist interpretations of the Dithmarscher artist Hadi Knütel and a photo documentary on the Rungholt researcher Andreas Busch

Rungholt - what does that mean? A myth or reality? It is both. Rungholt moves between mythical transfiguration of historical research and interpretation by artist and poet.

It is this trail follows the current exhibition, which is in the gallery "Lat Tues tid" and "Nordstrand Teestuv (Nordstrand pottery) as well as see the island museum north beach and at the same time 3.Nordstrander with Rungholttagen (27.8.-29.8.2010; http://www.rungholttage-nordstrand.de ) is opened.

The exhibition "Rungholt emerges" is composed of two main parts. There is first the historical Rungholt, a Frisian settlement, place of management Edomsharde community, located approximately between today's Pellworm and the peninsula north beach. The medieval settlement, which was for its time quite wealthy, went with the first major Mandränke of 1362 under. Since then, myths and legends about this place that was allegedly destroyed by a divine punishment, because its people blasphemed God. Rungholt was thereby so to speak, an Atlantis of the North.

why are the findings and observations of the Nordstrand Rungholt-discoverer Andreas Busch one aspect of the exhibition, is shown in addition to the permanent exhibition at the Museum Island North beach. On 16 June 1921 found the first traces of the bush Rungholt settlement. He has documented his research in numerous photographs, which are now a reduction in the Husum North Sea Museum. For the exhibition of reproductions of original photos were compiled into display boards - a small tribute to a life-recognized and honored local historian, whose descendants today still partly on the northern beach.

Knütel Hadi (1964), an independent artist from Dithmarschen, has Rungholt an individual way closer. In this mixture of reality and of legendarity Rungholt he found a man of the coast almost endless artistic inspiration. His work was shown in the gallery and the Teestuv The North Beach pottery.

As surreal working painters appealed to him as "the fantastic trappings," as he himself says: "The game with the top (on the water surface) and bottom (on the ocean floor), the questions: What kind of thoughts and fears and arrangements were under the population? How do you feel the sunken Rungholts "postrungholter" existence "? resulted from these very specific topics, by and by images that fascinate the viewer, sometimes disturbing but also because they are in a limbo between reality and fiction. Knütel pictures, sometimes light and playful, sometimes forcefully and with almost admonitory character, leave much room for interpretation. And if you delve into them, we see Rungholt actually show up again.

An exhibition thus providing both historians and art lovers Rungholt incentive for new approaches expected.
