An exhibition of photographs by the photo club "aperture 13" Hotel Miramar

The Husum Photo Club "aperture 13" was formed in 2001. A group photo enthusiasts wanted to pursue their hobby together, the "hunt" for the perfect location so to speak, in the "pack" compete. The name - "stop 13" became even more marked in the wake of analog photography, for there is an aperture number of 13 does not, which is not until the age of digital photography possible and called today the aperture range that starts the so-called depth of field.

held annually since 2003 held at least a show that is usually a theme or subject for which specific photographs are developed.

The exhibition "Wadden and more" at the Hotel Miramar is more than to understand a kind of retrospective: a journey through years of joint work with analog and digital photo technology with a thematic focus, who is also a tribute to the Wadden Sea. For locals, this exhibition should offer much that is familiar, the classic brand recognition is guaranteed, for visitors and guests, however, are the pictures chosen a completely successful documentation of the nature, landscape and characteristics of Eiderstedt and North Friesland. The exhibition opens up a glimpse into a world that fluctuates between color noise and melancholy, between simplicity and power of nature, the typical attractions like the lighthouse or the Westerhever piles on Ording Beach, but also shows details and excerpts from unusual locations or Nordic maritime objects whose charm is revealed often only at second glance.

What " aperture 13 "of other photo clubs different is that they only presented as a group: the exhibition is seen as a whole, as a unit, it is not about the gratification of personal vanity, but about the concept. That is why the photos are titled nor the name of the photographer provided. The visitor is always in the context of the single image view and can enjoy the entire show.
